Social Infrastructure Audit

‘Social infrastructure’ is a broad term that encompasses a wide range of services and facilities that contribute to quality of life for residents and visitors within a community. The diversity of services and facilities in an area are a key part of it’s social fabric. They ensure that a community is an attractive and sustainable place in which to live, work and visit. Further, they contribute to a sense of place and help define local community identity.

This social infrastructure audit seeks to identify the social infrastructure offering in the North Kerry West Limerick region as part of the North Kerry, West Limerick: Smart Villages, Stronger Communities Project. It provides an audit of services and facilities in participating communities and maps their spatial layout, in order to highlight existing inter-dependencies and services.
